Life Coach - Yoga Teacher

How I got here

Originally from Montreal, I have lived and worked in Toronto for over 20 years, cultivating a strong community of wellness professionals. I came here as an actor, and while I spent the first part of my life in Toronto acting on stage, television and film, as well as working in communication training for the medical and financial communities, my true passion came out when I began to explore a career in yoga and fitness.

My soul opened up as I worked with groups and one on one, often incorporating life coaching into my sessions. I found my calling in helping people create well being in their lives! A true honour!

Why I do it

Yoga…it all started when…

Practicing Yoga for over 20 years, at first was a way to exercise in a creative and mindful way. Because of a personal physical limitation, I began an intense Yoga practice for a year, changing my body and reversing some of the effects of my challenge. The lightbulb went on and I was hooked! My life changed!

Throughout my career I have seen people experience amazing things, moving through physical and emotional challenges, constantly inspiring me. I believe that whatever our limits are, we can move beyond them. We can set the parameters of our own lives!

Life Coaching…it all started when…

I have always believed that a physical practice is effective if we consider and explore what is happening in our minds, our hearts, our lives. So I have always used an element of Life Coaching in my sessions. If we know why something works, we are empowered to cultivate it to work for us. Seeing first hand how effective this has been, led me to delve deeply into training as a Life Coaching and build solid techniques to create positive and lasting change within one’s journey thoughout life .

What else tickles my fancy…

I love to travel!! Seeing new places and exploring different cultures energizes me. Speaking a few languages, I’m always looking for ways to communicate, through words, hand gestures, and when all else fails, a smile! People everywhere have such kindness to share. I am always amazed at our similarities and learn from our differences.

Being fortunate to teach Yoga in different countries around the world, I continue to look for these experiences, personally and through my retreats.

Food….mmmmm!!! I love to cook (some dishes more successfully than others, lol). And chocolate is my super power (or kryptonite, depending on how you look at it). I am working towards my “chocolatier” certificate at cooking school. After that, the world is my oyster (a chocolate oyster)!
