Following a Passion

Unleashing my inner chef

I’ve finally given into my love of chocolate (super food, you know) and am working towards my “Chocolate Maker” certificate at George Brown College. My pre-requisite course was “baking arts” and this is my very first Apple Pie (my first baked anything actually)! This is the look of pride. I felt like a joyous 5 year old! What is your passion? What have you always wanted to do? What can make it happen?

Eating on the go

Make it easy on yourself

When making a smoothie, fill a big blender with yummy ingredients. When blended, fill 2 or 3 water bottles (on the go containers) and put into the fridge. And you have breakfast or lunch for the next 2/3 days. Nutritious, delicious and easy to consume on the go (transit, park bench, street corner, waiting room). Helpful tip: place bottle into a reusable plastic bag incase of spillage. My favourite travel bag found out the hard way!

Tis the season

Winter work

Save your back when shovelling this season (and if you don’t get snow where you live….bathe in envy, I know you feel it!). Engage your core. Pull in your lower belly (scoop in and up) while sliding the shovel below the snow, especially when lifting the white gloriousness.
